I spent my 30th birthday in Page, AZ with my closest friends. We flew in from all over the country for a weekend of curated events. Now, did the weekend go as planned? Absolutely not! Did we still enjoy every moment with each other? Undoubtedly.
The first night, was welcome night. Wine and burgers. Only 2 of the girls were able to make it, before the sun went down because the other girls were stuck on a 10 hour road trip because Elon’s invention had them stopping every hour! I felt so bad.
Once everyone arrived, I provided everyone with their Jelatti merch. Custom robes, slippers, and glasses.
The next morning, we headed to Antelope Canyon and had a beautiful tour. We learned about the Navajo people and the ancient canyons that surrounded us. The walls were cascading around us forming beautiful shadows and the light was hitting just right.
After our wonderful day at the canyon, this is when disaster struck. The private chef I hired, turned out to be a complete fraud! He stole my money and never came to serve the dinner. It was devastating. Good thing I had my besties to surround me with love. We went to a local restaurant where we had the best service and a delicious meal.
The next day, we tried to pivot and enjoy our lake day, just to be notified our rental was canceled due to winds up to 30mph. Again, another unexpected hurdle but we made the most of it! We just booked a normal guided tour and got to see Lake Powell.
